What is the reputation of the school?

Our studio is devoted to bringing quality, updated material in a fun, appropriate manner, to our students. Dance City and the Arts has been awarded "America's Top Performing Arts Education Center in CT", the Children's Empowerment Award" from Kids Day America International and "Best Dance Studio" in Southington by Observer readers.

Who would be teaching my child?

Our studio has a highly qualified, experienced, certified teachers who focus on emotional and physical development. Our teachers use positive reinforcement to maintain a constructive and encouraging class atmosphere. Our staff incorporates the Character Counts Program in our classes to promote good character through an art form that is fun. Our teaching concepts spark and instill creativity in all of our students.

How long is your season?

Dance City and the Arts offers a Full Season, September to June, which is best for students fitness and skill level as well as progression and emotional retention.

What is the best age to start dancing?

The best age to start independent dance is 3 years of age. Dance City also offers a Mommy and Me class beginning at age 2 for your child and a parent or grandparent.

Do you offer sibling and multiple class discounts?

Dance City offers a 10% multiple class discount as well as a 10% total family discount on Sept - June dance classes only. We also offer a friend referral discount to our students.

Can I watch my child in class?

Our studio has viewing monitors for each studio. We also have a spacious, inviting waiting room for siblings, homework or video viewing.
